I have studied Cesar Millan and have utilized his techniques with my own pack with great success. I also believe that you must have balance in your own life to have a successful balanced relationship with your dog. Dogs see the world in a different way than people do. When you approach a dog try and think what is best for the dog and not what is best for you at that time, Confidence and Calm Assertive Energy will be the way you shake hands and communicate good intentions and leadership without using excitement. When you communicate with your animal you are trying to communicate with the last thing the dog understands, sound. Animals don't speak English, they speak energy and tone. Energy is the universal language for all animals.
To be a successful pack leader with your pet you must always show calm assertive energy at all times. Do you walk your dog or does your dog walk you? I really enjoyed the movie "I am Legend" because the relationship between Will Smith and Samantha was very similiar to Cesar's Way. If you read Cesar Millan you will find that Jada Pinkett Smith introduced Cesar to the world and was very involved in Cesar's Career from the start. (You'll have to read him for more)
